The cooperative training model should be used to facilitate the transfer of students from an international university to the UI, to obtain a UI degree (or a purdue university degree at the IUPUI, as needed). This model should be used for agreements such as 2+2, 3+2 and 4+1 (or other combinations) for which students who have obtained some or all of the degree from a partner university come to the UI to meet the graduation requirements for IU (or Purdue University at IUPUI). Indiana University has three different types of partnership agreements and cross-border activities: the terms of the agreement should describe the purpose of each activity, the staff involved, all financial obligations for UI and the partner, all institutional policies for each activity, and relevant visa information when international mobility is concerned. The Office of the Vice-President for International Affairs worked closely with the UI General Counsel and other administrative offices to develop draft contracts. These proposals are intended to facilitate the entry of UI faculties and staff into the design process. The cooperating foreign partner or company may request the use of its proposal, in particular if it has limited flexibility under internal rules or guidelines. If this is the case, make sure that you compare this model to the appropriate UI model to ensure that all necessary and other terms are presented. It is not a joint degree awarded and signed by both universities. Each university must evaluate a student`s academic performance to determine whether the student meets their graduation requirements. The decision to award a degree ultimately rests with each university. This model should be used in double-degreasing agreements where students from THE UI and a partner university follow a certain number of credit hours at each university and acquire degrees from both the UI and the partner university. A Dual Degree is immediately reciprocal, with students from the IU and the partner university participating in the Dual Degree programme.
This model can be used for certain collaborative projects, programs or other activities that do not involve faculty/student exchanges or double degrees. In exceptional cases, where a potential partner so requires, an UI entity may apply for approval of a general agreement, memorandum of understanding or similar document that does not specify the activities actually carried out. The partner is deemed to provide the document; Therefore, IU does not offer a model. These documents must have a duration, usually one or two years, reflecting a realistic timetable for a subsequent agreement forming the conditions for a given activity (or activity). This subsequent agreement will replace the general agreement. A Primary Partnership Agreement establishes formal relations of friendship and cooperation between the UI and a partner institution. Although UI Global typically launches a primary agreement when multiple UI entities actively cooperate with the institution, each UI unit can recommend a primary agreement. The templates below may require changes or revisions based on the type of activity you want to offer. The oVPIA Partnership Team will work with you on any necessary changes. If IU already has a primary agreement with your desired institution, download the sample sub-agreement for student exchanges.
If not, download the unit-to-unit agreement template for student exchanges. This proposal is a comprehensive academic cooperation agreement that should be tailored to the needs of your unit. It includes faculty and student exchanges, guest student programs and other forms of cooperation. Delete any sections that are not related to what you and your partnership want to track. The student exchange template contains detailed conditions regarding specific responsibilities for incoming and outgoing exchange participants. . . .
